VUCA Health Announces Rapid Adoption of its MedsOnCue Digital Patient Engagement Solution Supporting Health Literacy by Innovative Pharmacies across 19 States

Rapid growth demonstrates keen interest among pharmacists in improving care and medication safety through innovative approaches to patient engagement and education

LAKE MARY, Fla. – (May 28, 2013) – VUCA Health announced today that, in fewer than four weeks, pharmacies in 19 states have deployed its MedsOnCue solution to improve patient engagement in medication use and to strengthen customer relationships. It is just one of several key milestones achieved recently by the start-up company, which provides pharmacies with on-demand prescription-specific videos and supports the trusted relationships between pharmacists, patients and their caregivers.

Available in pharmacies across the country, MedsOnCue utilizes QR codes printed on prescription labels, SMS text messaging and email to deliver on-demand prescription-specific videos designed to engage and educate patients. VUCA Health’s core product, MedsOnCue also includes three customizable services designed to reinforce patient relationships and cultivate brand loyalty: Connect Me, providing “click-to-call” access to client-designated pharmacies or call centers; Remind Me for streamlined registration with the pharmacy’s or healthcare organization’s medication alert and reminder program; and Inform Me, providing on-demand access to additional prescription information and health or wellness resources.

Achieving a presence in 19 states is just the most recent milestone achieved by VUCA Health. The company recently announced it has teamed up with Rx30, the leader in independent pharmacy management software, to distribute the MedsOnCue solution to its client base of thousands of community pharmacies. It also unveiled an Advisory Board made up of leaders in the retail pharmacy, clinical analytics and pharmaceutical fields who will guide future growth.

Based on current adoption rates and feedback from the industry, VUCA Health is on track to be present in retail pharmacies nationwide by the end of 2013.
