HealthCare Information, LLC (HCI) Partners With VUCA Health to Include On-Demand Prescription-Specific Videos in Educational Platform Technology
LAKE MARY, FL–(Marketwired – Aug 23, 2016) – VUCA Health announced today that it has partnered with HealthCare Information, LLC (HCI in Cincinnati, Ohio), a provider of inspired technology to optimize the patient bedside experience, to deliver its MedsOnCue video content to hospitals and health systems across the country.
HCI will add MedsOnCue video content to its Android integrated platform technology, which provides interactive and educational services designed to meet the patient’s individualized needs at their bedside and provide healthcare staff with tools to effectively and remotely measure, manage and document quality of care. The addition enables HCI Android TV equipped facilities to leverage the extensive MedsOnCue video library to inform patients and families about the medications being administered, any potential side effects, as well as expected outcomes.
“The inclusion of MedsOnCue to our Android Medications App will provide our network of hospitals and health systems with the prescription-specific educational tools necessary to advance the patient experience,” said Pax Lindell, VP of HCI Sales and Marketing. “It is through partnerships such as these, that we can work towards the improved health of the people and communities we serve.”
HCI provides devices that are not only optimized to give patients the best experience, but designed to transform the way hospitals manage patient care as a whole. As value-based purchasing and the importance of raising HCAHPS scores puts pressure on nurses, doctors, administrators, and healthcare facilities alike, HCI televisions and administration software help to improve patient satisfaction and learning, while reducing readmission rates and increasing staff efficiency.
“HCI’s pioneering solution enables patients and their families to receive the educational content critical to improved care, while allowing healthcare providers the means to reach more patients with such information,” said VUCA Health CEO David Medvedeff, PharmD, MBA. “We are proud to have MedsOnCue included in their breadth of innovative, educational content and believe its addition will further support their goal of generating solutions that empower hospitals and enhance the patient experience.”
