New technology helps patients understand their medicine

(Abstract) Since January, the pharmacy at Ocean Medical Center in Brick has been placing QR codes on prescriptions that, once scanned with smart devices, direct patients to videos about their prescriptions. QR codes in the prescription bottles link patients to educational videos about the prescription. The ambulatory pharmacy at Ocean Medical Center offers prescriptions to patients who are being discharged as well as the hospitals team members.

QS/1 Partners with VUCA to Provide Patient Health Information

Spartanburg, SC (June 10, 2014) QS/1 is partnering with VUCA Health to offer on-demand prescription-specific videos, as well as other services to engage patients and strengthen customer relationships.

QS/1 pharmacies will be able to print QR codes on prescription labels that link to thousands of videos in the MedsOnCue library. The videos help patients review how to take their medications safely with easy to understand information on potential side effects and how to limit any avoidable reactions.
